more disturbing than I thought it would be. It really dived into the horrors of surviving a school shooting. It does go into detail of the event which is going to give me nightmares tonight but I liked how much detail it went into!
Truly a disturbing read and it makes my heart hurt for all victims who have been killed and had their life cut short while at a place they felt safe at.
I didn't like some characters, they kind of took me out of the story a bit. I didn't like all the coincidences, it just wasn't realistic. I didn't like the romance but I loved the asexual rep!
I really wish I liked this trilogy but it was a torturous experience.
All the characters were bland, yes even the returning characters from the authors other series who I loved.
This trilogy relies heavily on characters. Characters 1st, plot and story second. So if someone didn't like the characters then is the story enjoyable at all since the characters and their relationships are always there?
its nice knowing how someones love life goes on during a world war that affects their whole life but there was way too much romance, I would've liked more war focused chapters.
Went into this thinking I would love it because of how the book was described but its kinda misleading, I really didn't know it would be this romance heavy
I didn't know what this book was about before reading it but it hit a little too close to what we are all going through now. A deadly virus, masks, quarantine, corrupt police.
I wish I liked this book but too many things were happening in it and some stuff didn't make sense and the characters were all very unrealistic
Also didn't like the way the author described a 13 year old girl. Gross.
I think I would like this more if I experienced being an adult a bit longer. I'm only 21 and this book made me feel like I was 13.
The writing confused me at times, and there was a chunk near the end where the story kind of got blurry?
I liked the book, I love reading about the ups and downs of a relationship but the writing really threw me off multiple times.
I'll come back to this when I'm way older!
Finished this last night but I wanted time to think about this before I reviewed it.
So I love dark books and this was dark! I didn't like the romance and it was a needed aspect of the book so I'm fine with it. Just didn't like the instalove or her love interest. Her love interest was kind of like the men in the book that she didn't like so I'm a bit confused about that.
The story had me hooked and I liked the ending to an extent, I'm just happy the ending didn't go where I didn't want it to go because it sure looked like it was heading there
I read the word ānipplesā in this book more than I have read it in a harry styles fan fiction.
crazy.
It was a solid story but its a shame the characters (except for Oliver!) were horrible people!
Saoirse is a moody teen but she crossed a line.. many times. Like, who is mean to an old man for no reason? Who yells at someone who is about to walk down the aisle at their wedding?
My favourite book of all time is Stolen by Lucy Christopher which is about a kidnapping and after I read that in 2014 (and every year afterwards) ive been addicted to kidnapping stories as they really intrigue me. I love knowing what the kidnappees mind is like during being held captive and life afterwards. I love knowing why the kidnapper did what they did.
Ive read a million kidnapping stories and this has to be in the top 3.
Spoilers but not really? ahead!!
The ending kinda.. yeah im gonna forget that happened.
