Even though It was an anticipated release of the year, and I was super excited for it, I just couldn't keep going. The sadness of this book is too much for me. Despite having some “happy”moments, there is a shadow in the whole book that makes it feel depressing.
I might come back to finish it at some point in life, but right now I can't.

This is a very sweet story and I liked the arc of the main character. Her development was something that I was praying would happen since I was annoyed at how she let other people treat her, however the end result was very satisfactory.
I Love that Max is a gentleman and that he has a dog, extra points for that.
Both of them are really funny and it's great that they have a good sense of humor. The chemistry between them was instant but thankfully, it didn't feel insta love. I honestly thought that the most I was going to get was a chaste kiss, and while nothing was too graphic, they do have passion and it was fire.
The self awareness of their psychological issues is not something that I see very often in books and I appreciate it. Considering that this was on the table already, their changes made more sense in the story.
My favorite character: probably Vella, she is the funniest one. Also, their friendship is highly moving as both show the depths of it. Love to see female friendships.
The only down part I found was him messing with her fears. I understand that she managed to get through it but it would be a deal breaker for me. No questions asked.
The revelation of the mystery was not what I thought it was going to be, and I'm not going to lie, I was a bit let down by it. But overall, I liked the story.

ARC Review - I'm very grateful to have been able to read this in advance.

The characters' internal journey of the story was amazing to follow. I got very emotionally attached to Ex that by the end of the book I was super proud of him. I did enjoy all of the characters, they felt very distinctive from one another and still created a good dynamic. I also liked the juxtaposition of the hunters and Phis, to see both sides. Though I thought that was going to create a change within the hunters, but It seemed they didn't even know about Narissa. Also, I liked that throughout the story there were important friendships that made everything much more meaningful.

Loved the magic system. It was very different from what I have read so far. Sometimes the magic system tends to feel very fairytale like which is not a bad thing but since this story had so much lore, the magic here felt very real and possible. I also liked that there was a physical change when entering the everpresent. It made everything more visual which I appreciated.
I loved the explanations of the ritual the hunters went through. I especially found it interesting that Ex didn't feel pain.

There is an uncomfortable moment where a Phi is looking for the baby. Can't find it but she smells her, so proceeds to investigate. I understand, but yikes.

I did get a lot confused with the whole soul catching thing. I assumed that while the soul was in a specific vessel, the body still existed in the physical world, but there was no body. I'm still wondering what happens.

I would've liked a map to follow the story in a better way, and to be able to see where they were while they traveled.

But all in all I loved the story, I have never read anything with inspiration of Tailand mythology, but I'll definitely look it up in the future as well as to follow this author future projects.

Super conflicted with what I just read so I'm going to take a couple of days to rate this one.

Mickey Mouse has always been one of my favorite cartoon characters, so I jumped for the opportunity to read a new (to me) comic about him. And I have to say that I was not let down. True, the one I knew from my childhood was a bit kinder, but all in all you can see his true character in the comic.
I enjoyed the story immensely even though it was clear that there were bits missing, but once you get used to the jumps it gets easier to follow. I understand why they couldn't release all the comics and I think the selection chosen for the book covers the overall story very well.
I would say that Mickey and Donald went through pretty much every single adventure story you could find and it was a blast. Also, I loved the cover. It's pretty accurate.
