I really enjoyed this! Magic School but just a bit darker than usual.

I took a bit of a work-related break from reading and barely finished a book over the past few months. That changed the moment I picked up Dungeon Crawler Carl.

I was looking forward to it, but it still completely caught me by surprise just how immersed I became in this world. Three weeks and four books later, I still can't get enough of the madness, the humour, the characters, and the sheer chaos of it all.

So, to anyone who hasn't started this series yet and even remotely enjoys this kind of book: just do it.

I couldn't stop reading!
Loved every second of this.

A brilliant and moving reimagining of Huckleberry Finn through Jim's eyes. Everett's writing is sharp, funny, and deeply humane, giving voice and agency to a character who was too often sidelined. I couldn't put it down.

I really enjoyed Kindling! The story was gripping and the emotional depth kept me hooked throughout. My only struggle was that I sometimes got confused about which character's perspective I was reading—some of them felt too similar in voice. A bit more distinction between the characters would have made it even stronger. Still, a great read overall and one I'd definitely recommend to fantasy lovers.
