সমাদ্দারের চাবি

Wrote a review for

সমাদারের চাবি is one of the shorter Feluda stories, and while it has Ray’s signature intelligence and charm, it didn’t quite leave a strong impact on me. The mystery felt a bit too simple and ended rather quickly without much buildup or tension.

Feluda’s reasoning, as always, is sharp, but the plot didn’t have the depth or excitement that I usually expect from the series. It felt more like a brief puzzle than a full-fledged detective case.

I listened to the audiobook version, and the narration was pleasant — it helped make the short story more enjoyable despite its simplicity.

Overall, I’d give it 2.5 stars — not bad, but not particularly memorable either. It’s a light, quick listen for Feluda fans who want something short and easy.

বোসপুকুরে খুনখারাপি

Wrote a review for

বোসেপুকুরে খুনখারাপি is a classic Feluda story with an intriguing setup — a murder in a small town, a family full of secrets, and Feluda on the case. As always, Satyajit Ray’s writing is crisp and intelligent, and Feluda’s logical deductions make the mystery interesting.

However, I felt the story was a bit predictable this time. The tension and depth that usually make Feluda’s adventures unforgettable were somewhat missing. It’s still enjoyable, especially because of the familiar trio’s chemistry and Ray’s witty dialogues.

I listened to the audiobook version, and the narration was quite engaging — it added life to the setting and kept me interested even when the plot slowed down.

Overall, I’d give it 3 stars.

Lock Every Door

Wrote a review for

It is my first Rigel Sager book. I just came to know about his books yesterday. This book's name caught my eye and I read it in two days! I was so hooked at the end (second half of the book), it was insane! Just amazed with his writing skills. I literally thought maybe the initial reveal is it, but it's not.
It's really a hit for me. If you want to read a thriller with adrenaline rush, go for it!!!!

Make It Stick: The Science of Successful Learning

Wrote a review for

Make It Stick is one of those books that actually changes how you think about learning, packed with practical strategies that make studying more effective.
The three ideas that stood out to me most were active recall, spaced repetition, and interleaving. I've already tried active recall during my last exam, and it really worked—I remembered more and felt more confident, planning to try spaced repetition and interleaving in my future study sessions too.
It's not a “fun” read in the sense of a story, but if you're serious about learning smarter, this book is worth it.

Days At The Morisaki Bookshop

Wrote a review for

Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa is a tender Japanese novella about self-discovery, loneliness, and the quiet power of books. The book tells a quiet, heartwarming story about finding yourself again through books and human connection. The small Tokyo bookshop setting is cozy and nostalgic, and the characters feel real and gentle. Takako's journey from heartbreak to healing is beautifully written — simple yet deeply moving. It's a short read, but it lingers long after you close the last page. Perfect for anyone who loves calm, reflective stories and the magic of bookstores.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Wrote a review for

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is easily one of the most magical and thrilling books in the series.

The introduction of Sirius Black and Remus Lupin adds so much depth, both to the plot and to Harry's personal journey. The way Author J.K. Rowling weaves in themes of fear, friendship, and the past catching up to the present is brilliant. I especially loved how the Dementors and the Patronus charm symbolize facing inner darkness with hope.

Want to Know a Secret?

Wrote a review for

⭐ 2.5/5

Want to Know a Secret? is an engaging domestic thriller filled with Freida McFadden's trademark suspense and tension. The story kept me turning pages, and the epilogue was shocking. Still, compared to her other books, this one didn't hit quite as hard. Julie's character felt frustratingly rude at times, and while the mystery kept me curious, the overall impact wasn't as strong as Freida's best twists. A good, fast-paced read, but not her most memorable one.

কৈলাসে কেলেঙ্কারি

Wrote a review for

“Kailashe Kelenkari” is another brilliant adventure from Satyajit Ray’s iconic Feluda series. The story beautifully blends mystery, travel, and Ray’s signature wit, taking the reader (or listener) on a thrilling journey to Ellora and beyond. Feluda’s sharp intellect and Topshe’s youthful narration make the plot engaging from start to finish, while Jatayu adds his usual humor and charm.

I listened to the audiobook version on Mirchi Bangla, and the experience was fantastic. The voice acting, sound effects, and background music really brought the story to life and made me feel as if I were part of the adventure.

The mystery is clever and satisfying, it’s a wonderfully crafted detective tale that perfectly captures Satyajit Ray’s storytelling brilliance.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys classic Bengali mysteries — especially in audiobook form!

লন্ডনে ফেলুদা

Wrote a review for

Londone Feluda takes Satyajit Ray’s iconic detective beyond India for the first time, and it’s fascinating to see Feluda, Topshe, and Jatayu explore London while tackling a new mystery. The setting adds a fresh flavor to the series, and the cultural contrasts are portrayed with Ray’s usual charm and wit.

I listened to the audiobook version, and it was quite enjoyable — the narration and background effects captured the mood well and made the experience immersive. However, the mystery itself felt a bit lighter compared to some of Feluda’s more gripping adventures. The suspense was mild.

Overall, I’d rate it 3.5 stars — entertaining and atmospheric, but not among my top Feluda favorites.

Royal Bengal Rahasya

Wrote a review for

রয়েল বেঙ্গল রহস্য is one of the most thrilling and brilliantly written stories in the entire Feluda series. The combination of adventure, intellect, and suspense is absolutely perfect here. Set in the wild forests of North Bengal, the atmosphere is vivid and tense, and Ray’s descriptions make you feel as if you’re right there with Feluda, Topshe, and Jatayu.

The mystery is layered, clever, and full of surprises — with an ending that’s both emotional and deeply satisfying. Feluda’s reasoning and courage shine throughout the story, reminding you exactly why he’s one of literature’s finest detectives.

I listened to the audiobook version, and it was an incredible experience — the voice acting, sound design, and background score added so much depth and made the suspense even more real.

Easily a 5-star story for me — gripping, atmospheric, and unforgettable.

Bhuswarga Bhayankar

ভূস্বর্গ ভয়ংকর takes Feluda, Topshe, and Jatayu on another exciting trip — this time to a beautiful hill station that soon turns dangerous. The story starts off with great promise: an interesting setting, mysterious characters, and a suspenseful atmosphere.

However, as the plot unfolded, I felt it didn’t fully live up to the tension it built in the beginning. The mystery was decent but a bit predictable, and some parts felt slower compared to Ray’s sharper, more gripping Feluda stories.

I listened to the audiobook version, which was still enjoyable thanks to the narration and ambient sounds that brought the story to life.
