I was a little worried at first that this was going to be a repeat of the problems I had with The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook but I was pleasantly surprised. It starts up with a lot of setup for the level that feels very similar to the previous book, with lots of exposition, but once it gets to the first big event, it really kicks into gear. I really loved some of the deeper dives into the world outside the dungeon. I’ve been hoping for more of that to start filtering in. Overall I don’t think it’s quite as strong as the first two books but still pretty great overall and a big improvement from book 3.

Pretty good! I was recommended this by my sister and gave it a shot. A couple of the twists I saw coming a mile away, while a couple others legitimately surprised me. Super fast read as well if you’re looking for something quick and easy.
