Well, thats a masterpiece. Just a book to be looking for.
First of all, this is finally a book about Hannibal, mostly. We had too liitle of him in the first book.
And also Clarice is pretty good choice here - she is not dumb, but she isn't genius either. Just a solid secondary Dr. Watson type.
Feminism part is okay here, I guess. It's not something I personally would've put there coz it doesn't benefit the story IMHO,
but it doesn't harm it either so why not. I guess it was more important at the time.
I enjoyed it immensely and have little words to describe it. The only tiny detail that I can point to that could break my suspension of disbelief is that Hannibal is not only the most intelligent man in the world but also somehow after 8 years in confinement after reading and drawing he's in extremely good physical shape.
