5 stars for a world filled with mysteries that i can never quite get enough of
“We are guardians, but also a bunch of miserable wretches that are constantly fighting against dangers and madness.”
I don't usually put in quotes but this is probably the one that is stuck with all the readers of this series.
pro:
- the author makes great use of the phrase “less is more” and “show don't tell”
- absolutely adore the scp elements
- the mystery aspect keeps you on your toes
- full time struggling, part-time pretending to be a powerful entity
con:
- why is there no translated physical copy of this book so i can properly support the author
There are way worse books that I have read. Books that made my skin crawl with disgust or made my pulse quicken in rage.
The worst thing this book has commited was that it was so utterly boring that I could not finish it. The tropes are usually ones I really enjoy but the writing style made it about as interesting as a textbook.
