I really enjoyed Alchemised. The mysterious beginning pulled me in right away, and even when it felt like there was no reason for the characters to keep fighting, it made me even more curious to continue. I also didn’t think it was bad that a love story was included—it fit the atmosphere and added something to the plot.

However, I didn’t like how possessiveness was constantly included in the romance. Sometimes it felt a bit like the author was overdoing it. Later it’s explained with the idea that every relationship has its flaws, and I understand that point, but it still bothered me at times.

Another thing I didn’t love was that, at some point, certain special situations started repeating a lot, which sometimes made the story feel unnecessarily long. I get that this might be part of the writing style, but for me it was occasionally too much.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading it—I finished it in three weeks, which is fast for me.

Honestly enjoyed the story and the fact that the story is about a very realistic friendship.
