The growth the characters go through, especially Misaki, was portrayed in such natural way you only realize it when they do.

This is not a masterpiece of the mystery genre, but it's a fast read and extremely entertaining. I read it in two sittings.

The story is good, but uneven. It started great but the instalove almost ruined it. Thankfully the book recovered in the third part and ended up being a nice adventure.
There were too many almost ending scenes, it got a little boring.

Don't think there's anything wrong with this book, it just wasn't the book for me.

This has become one of my favorite series. Din and Ana are such a pair!
Ana, with all her oddness, tries to communicate with Din, and he's learning to understand her.

Now, about the plot/case. It was a fun / interesting one, and the author was fair to the reader, all clues to solve the mystery were presented to the reader, and I appreciated that. I figured a few things out using the clues and information, which made the experience more fun.
The magic system resembling science / alchemy is my favorite type. I'd love to find more fantasy books with these kinds of magic systems.
