The only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is because it was not my type of story. But the story is too powerful. Child abuse is the most prominent thing that stands out in the book but other than that, it is a story set in Kerala of a local family.
Read it if you can stand such stories. Otherwise it is sure to haunt you. The writing is way too realistic
You cannot possibly have dry eyes after finishing the book. I even wrote a letter to her dad after finishing the story. That is the effect it has on you. You feel like you are living everyday with her, facing all her issues, living all her dreams. A book to read and re-read and store in your must read shelf for ever
The back story really puts the entire series into perspective. The way Peg was so many years back and the way she is now is poles apart. But then she also got the love she deserved so late in her life.
Amazing anthology
The collection of short stories in this book are really something to be read over a cup of tea. The emotions associated with each of them are truly amazing. Each one better than the previous ones. Varun Thomas is really an amazing author. Looking forward to reading more such stories from him. Kudos
