I may have read Bright Lights without reading the rest of The Spies Who Loved Her books however, that did not take away from this at all. I loved it so much and it left me wanting more. I already had plans to read as much of Katrina Jackson's books as I can this year and I will very much be continuing with that plan and hopefully reading The Spies Who Loved Her books first. I love the way Asif and Chanté are with each other. Supportive partners who believe in you without doubt is honestly the best and everyone deserves that. This book was hot and charming and just everything. I love Chanté. I hope she gives Asif and the Agency so much trouble in the future and makes bank while doing it. If you are into STEAMY romance which I hope you are otherwise why are you here? Then you should definitely be picking up Bright Lights and everything else Katrina Jackson writes.
This took me way to long to read and I'm sad about it because I loved it. I started off with the physical and just had a hard time getting into it. I don't know why. But I started listening to the audiobook yesterday and if I didn't have to sleep and I didn't have a horrible headache before bed I would have finished it yesterday too. This was so much fun and I love Max and Lina. I love Lina's family. I hate Andrew he can go be alone forever. I loved all of the cultural aspects. Learning about other cultures is one of my favorite parts of reading. Oh and this book has some great smuty parts too.
If you love enemies to lovers, only one shared bed, fake dating, and forced couples therapy for those fake daters than this is for you.
Maybe it's a good thing I'm alone at work today so I can cry in private. This was beautiful and heartbreaking. This is my second book by Kwame, I listened to Solo too ( also loved it) and he's an auto read author for me now. Before I finished this I requested physical copies of this and Solo from the library for my kids to read and I think I'm going to reread them when they're done.
