A simple story but the characters are memorable if inconsistent. Plot was just getting started so will probably read next one to see if settles in. I did listen to the Spotify playlist made for the book while reading. And I received this through a Goodreads giveaway.

It is different. Rougher at beginning. Trigger warning - animal death.

Not what I expected but better. I see now why he is protecting his family by giving interviews and releasing this book. Will never click on an “analysis” article about the Royal Family again. He read the audiobook - definitely recommend because can hear the emotions.

Amazing shorts about women who should be household names. A great resource for students so they don't write biographies about the same few people (Ruby Bridges is an amazing woman, just can't continue to be the only name they offer every single year).

Ending telegraphed of course, but getting there was perfect ength and tone.

Audible edition does an amazing job with the voice acting. The ending is harder to understand without seeing the names. After Alecto comes out will have to go back and read as a book to catch all the foreshadowing and names.

An intriguing introduction to a story, but just...stops. Not even at a vague “what is real” point, just stops.

Fits well within main novel and gave some great background and fleshed out background characters.

Stayed up way too late reading.

A YA way to introduce French Revolution

Satisfying conclusion to a great trilogy!

Art is beautiful and really enhances story. Hopefully will resume soon!

That was a cliffhanger! The games were creative and the writing was well paced so it felt like the same thrill as the characters. On to the next!

That was ...flimsy... One novel reveal and that was it.

Very earned ending even if a rough ending to a unique trilogy. I want to know what happens next!

Beautiful art and words.

Arabian nights style with many random stores filling out the book. Narrator is amazing with tons of accents (3 for main character alone!) And managed to still make them distinct and recognizable on audible. (Some got goofy by the end, but still distinct!) Story fun and light.

This Boy Fantasy didn't age well. Only woman in it jumps on the man minutes after meeting him and continues to initiate every few pages. Even apologized for being mad and sulking. Naked women constantly. The movie (and definitely TV series) had more plot and background.

A pleasant story and a bit of a twist for the ending compared to other YA. I just couldn't like the protagonist. She was just so absolutely amazing discovering so many things that generations never did.

Read during trip to Scotland

Drinking Irn Bru and Tennet beer and driving the same roads as in the book made it even better. Book was a fun and satisfying talenin Iron Druid world

Light fun breezy romp. Ask anything related to Kaiju should be.
