I liked the variety of characters.

Of course, much of the plot remains unclear and ambiguous. The motives of most of the characters are essentially unexplained. Also, the author does not bother to explain the balance of power in the world: magicians, gods, demons, ultra-mega-cool assassins, etc. It's hard to imagine an ordinary person in all this...

Nevertheless, I really want to continue reading this series.
