pretty decent & realistic look at mother-daughter dynamics/generational trauma without being super in your face about it. could maybe have delved deeper into the sister dynamic...

bit cliche but also better than the movie

so sad but also good and unpredictable in how he reveals the story so sad in a good way

decent but not THAT funny. kinda more pity heartbreaking but also relatable so it's captivating

some of the writing was a little annoying but good story. relatable in a pining way nice/cosy

loved the parallel stories. loved the connections. kinda wanted more the the “relationship” part like her other books but this was refreshing to be something a little different

good reminders and helpful prayer suggestions. felt more like an “easing anxiety” book instead of a how to deal with anxiety book but was still good and hopefully helpful in future

so interesting and heartfelt but also makes you angry and sad at the greed of the rich.

little predictable and a little too relatable...... but good and nice and well written

kinda insane. brain dump vibes. every character basically sucked as a human being... kinda good I think in a chaotic way??

interesting. feel like there's some underlying commentary on the chaos and mundane struggles of life is what gives it meaning? not everything is romantic... felt a little quick and disjointed at times?

Little bit cliche but in a very good way.

good story. annoyed at all the cliffhangers but good for moving it forward. didn't predict the ending at all. reminded me of melina marchetta type writing

very practical and helpful. dunno if I expected it to give me an epiphany but maybe as I process/absorb it it'll feel more impactful. felt a little repetitive in chapters but good reminder overall. to wait is to look to God in hope.

read it too slow so feel like I forgot half of it but definitely interesting and cool facts. more of a broad overview than deep and complex but pretty good and easy to understand. found parts relatable which was nice to feel reassured

a little predictable and felt a little rushed at the end... but good story interesting history. not as captivating as sea of tranquillity but still good.

very good read. feels relatable in parts but not others so dunno if I should do something about that... writing was easy but felt a bit choppy sometimes when switching stories. learnt some new things

interesting look at loneliness and how people shape you but also how it feels to feel “different” and “other”. soft spoken but also relatable in trying to figure out who you are

very interesting and well written. felt a bit weird reading about the spiritual sides of things but ultimately the conclusion of joy is very Christian.

very good. light-hearted stories but hard hitting. last few chapters felt very relevant. would read again

very cool and interesting and shocking. bit bummed about the anti-God subtleties but still informative and different

great little book. short but easy to understand and good summary overviews. not so much a how to but a good start.

interesting... felt a little triggering with the politics that feels a few years too late. liked the relationship story but didn't feel... nice. didn't feel like anyone had any positive character development5 but just ignored this because it was nicer to “be happy rather than right”....

decent but very predictable young adult cliche but still nice

was... ok.. interesting story but felt boring and whiny? felt so so so long to get somewhere... ended okay
