I kind of wish this book wasn't a sequel. I just think that the ending should have happened earlier in the book and I felt like the characters personalities changed between books 1 and 2.
This was not quite as good as the first book, but it was still enjoyable. McFadden is great at writing thrillers that keep my attention and keep me wondering exactly where they will go.
Very intriguing. McFadden's writing style had me turning the pages for more and more. I did feel like this was a generic plot, but the easy, breezy writing style made it better than books I've read with this premise.
I enjoy this cast of characters more each book. I actually only knocked it a star just because I don't really like when my cozy mysteries end with cliffhangers, it seemed all the other books didn't do this so it was a little jarring to me.
This was not as good as the first book and I wish we had focused more on her job again and somehow related that with family but this just felt very disconnected from the first book.
