''I want you. I want this. Let us have it. Just tell me you'll give me time. Give us time''
Lilian Harris is an author I discovered last year with the first book in this series and I'm so glad I did. I really enjoyed the story of Dom and Chiara (first book) and see a bit of Dante and Raquel in that story (I was curious about them since that moment) and, in their book, Dante and Raquel have not disappointed (maybe this is one of the best books I've read so far this year).
The plot is simple, Raquel does not want to marry the man imposed by her family, she meets Dante (who already knew who she was), they talk, form a plan, and decide to get married. Obviously Dante has his own reasons for wanting to marry Raquel (go read book 1) and she has no idea. And what begins as a marriage to help her and for him to get his plans, ends up being something else. And this is where the good starts because they start having feelings when she knows that marriage is temporary and he MUST NOT feel that way about her.
Dante is a character who is not shy to say what he thinks, is someone charismatic and charming, but with that dangerous side that, let's be honest, makes him irresistible.
Raquel is a character that surprised me, like Chiara, she had no idea about anything. She is someone who decides to escape the fate imposed by her family, a hateful family. I liked the closure of the character as far as her family and as she found in Chiara, Dom and Dante her new family.
The moments between Dante and Raquel are fun, charming, spicy and honest, especially when they start to develop feelings and really trust each other.
I liked the appearance of Dom and Chiara, but Lilian we have to talk, what did you do?
And I'm already excited for Enzo and his book, because that ending, without words.

If I was already in love with Maddox before his book, what I feel now for this man is something out of this world.
It's not a secret that I am a big fan of good, sunshine and shy guys, and Maddox is everything and more. I was a little scared cause I don't usually like characters that are perfect all the time, I need them to be human, to have some flaw, to make me connect with them. And Anna gets this with her characters. She did it with Max (go to read Greyford wolves) and now she did it with Maddox Anderson, my new book boyfriend and and the reason why my expectations of men have grown even more.
I know that this book is not going to be for everyone, but if you enjoy domestic scenes, friends to lovers, pregnant and a good group of friends, you will like this book.
Alyssa is a character who from the beginning of the series show us as someone partying and extroverted. And when she gets pregnant, everything changes. We see a different Alyssa. It's an Alyssa who overnight loses almost everything, an Alyssa who stands up to her parents, especially her mother, when they try to control her, an Alyssa who decides that her baby and she are more important than money and opinion. Seeing this side of Alyssa, being so strong and wanting to get through all this alone has enchanted me and made me suffer. But obviously she is not alone, she has Maddox, her best friend since childhood, and the rest of the BWU group (the first one there).
On the other hand we have Maddox, shy, nerdy and who doesn't really know how to interact with girls. He has never paid attention to them because he has been in love with Aly for most of his life. Maddox is a good character, who would do anything for the people he wants. And it's clear he's gonna do whatever it takes for Alyssa and the baby.
I loved watching Alyssa realize that she is attracted to her best friend (and jealousy, because yes, we have a jealousy scene) and who this relationship is built progressively, so naturally. And how Maddox showed Aly that he didn't care that he wasn't the baby's biological father, that baby was his.
As for the drama of the book, I'll just say that Anna had me crying and for a moment I thought she was going to make me suffer, but she always give us happy endings.
Special mention, not only to the group of boys, but to Callie and Yasmin who were there for Aly.
Thanks Anna for this ARC, this series and these characters.
I would take a thousand fights with Jules over a thousand easy days with anyone else. Because I didn't want easy. I wanted her

Getting into the heads of these characters after meeting them for two books and seeing their interactions, has been wonderful.
Josh is a complex character, not as serious or dark as Alex could be and not at all like Rhys. After the past events in the previous books I wanted to see how Josh felt and how he felt about everything that had happened, not just what he thought of Jules.
Jules is a character that from the first book we see her potential, her strong personality that does not go unnoticed has not been less in this book, with a story to tell and something to prove.
Josh and Jules go from that hatred they had to trust each other little by little, without themselves realizing it until it happens. It has been a relationship between them that we have seen in the previous books, only now hotter and little by little with more trust and friendship. If it's true that there was one thing I didn't like in the relationship about Josh, but they're gray characters, neither good nor bad, and I could come to understand the reason for the situation.
Obviously we see the previous characters, we know Stella's love interest and we have moments of Josh and Alex again, something I've loved reading about after what happened.
Thank you Ana for the wonderful opportunity to read to this couple.
