Still waiting to see more of this world and this society outside of corporations are bad (we know) and feelings are scary (we know).

Things happen. Interesting things. But in the end this is just a chapter in a long story and I’m considering holding back on the next installments until the series is finished.

I really wanted to like this one, but coming to it right after "When There are Wolves Again" it kinda pales. The prose is a bit simple at times, and there's quite a bit of exposition that breaks the immersion. I won't spoil the ending but it wasn't very satisfying for me.

I’m probably not the target audience for this.

#madeforTV although not quite as annoying as Blake Crouch

Re-read 2016, dated but fun.

Forever War, Ole Man's War, The Light Brigade.

Too much of the timey-wimey

Straight up space opera, with a good plot and decent enough characters and a (Peter F. Hamilton-esque) touch of light horror. Not too dissimilar to Adrian Tchaikovskys Final Architect series, well worth it for anyone enjoying that. Heading straight into the next in the series now.

This book needs more attention. Probably the best alternate history I've read in decades.

This might be the nearest I've ever come to “near-past historical thriller fiction”. Interesting story, but the ending felt a bit sudden and unfulfilling.

Can't remember last time I gave a book five full stars. I want to deduct a little for the americentrism, but. just can't.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed. For me this ends up as a superhero story focussing on what it's like to feel like you don't belong, and that's been done better.

Naive, overly optimistic, very simplistic characters but fun in a teenage fantasy kinda way.

Fun action comedy with some interesting views on AI. Marred by some flawed writing, a couple plot holes, and some huge and unnecessary typos. It feels a bit like Artemis (yeah that one) just done better.

This book contains an important idea, and so should have been a good book. Unfortunately it doesn't really say anything other than “this is an important idea”.

Oh and “nature is beautiful and important”, which it is. Then what?

This must've been a bit dull back in the day as well.

Så nære en femmer, men tog fra Ålesund til Bergen blir for mye, selv for meg. Bonuspoeng for Frank Chalmers.

So it's a satisfactory end to a perfectly entertaining and fun trilogy. Moving on.

Usikker på om Mads Rage er genial, forstyrret, eller begge deler. Heller mot det siste.
