Depressing, sad and brilliantly wonderful at the same time. Only picked it up to pass the time, but kept going throughout. How this isn't cinematized yet I don't know. Perfect for the screen.

Weak plot. One-dimensional characters. Lame attempt at debating the position of religion in society. Avoid unless you're a complete Templar geek.

Read first 10 pages. Fell asleep. Read another 20. Lost faith in humanity. Quit.

I suspect people who normally like criminal mystery will hate this one. I usually find that genre dull (with a few exceptions, Conan Doyle the foremost) but this book was interesting. It is more historical fiction than mystery, and more education than light reading.

I'm sorry, this is just inane...

A good exploration of current effects of human pollution, but jumps around a bit too much and much of the future forecasting seems thinly grounded. The latter chapters seemed even more stream-of-thought random.

This won't change anyones mind, nor will it inspire action, but as a primer or a refresher of what's at stake it will be worth the quick read.

Well, it's Scalzi. Fast, easy, fun, but easily forgotten.
