This book was a very easy read yet full of wisdom and guidance for the modern Muslim activist. I appreciated its brevity, making it accessible for people who lead busy lives or aren't typically readers. Imam Dawud Walid offers a very balanced approach, centering Allah SWT, inviting us to hold ourselves accountable according to an Islamic framework, and providing the reader with tools to navigate the complexities of the American political context as a practicing Muslim. I personally found this book extremely helpful and recommend it to any Muslim, "activist" or not. I have yet to find anything comparable and sincerely hope to see more books addressing these important topics in even more depth.
