I think I’m addicted to CG Drews’ writing. It’s like each sentence is its own self contained story. You can’t read this and not smell the stagnant water, feel the stickiness of the air and the relentlessness of the insects. The itching of skin recently grazed by a thorn and a sun that wants to beat you into submission.

But that’s only what you feel when you’re outside. Inside Hazelthorn Hall, things feel much different.

Go read it and find out. I’ll be over here salivating for the next year whilst I wait for the release of Scorpion Deep.

This was a whole lot of fun. Along the same lines as Second Hand Curses, taking the fairy tales we know and love and turning them on their ear in a new and thoroughly engaging way. Audiobook was well done.

I will miss Mr. Fry's interpretations in the Mythos series. It was fun.
