I tired to read this as a mid teenager and it was really hard. Recently, as I've got back into reading, I decided to pick it up again and I can see why 15 year old me couldn't get through it but 40+ me loved this. The fry humour is only approachable after you've lived a little. Maybe it even takes a divorce to understand. Looking forward to getting into more of his work.

Been a while since I read Max's work and I have fond memories. The first bit of this I really wasn't in to, and it came to an abrupt conclusion, but I felt it really paid off in the end.

I grew up Christian and have been rediscovering Christ in adulthood. This should be required reading for everyone, especially to join the atheist "club". I might not have had a lapse in church going had I read this at twenty.
