Gosh. I sure love a cozy fantasy. Did I know that about myself? I sure didn't!

I'm not sure I can say much that hasn't been said. This is a sweet little story, featuring a Dark Wizard (or four), a princess, several charming Goblins, and a chicken... Ahm. Rooster.

I'm glad I went into reading this without any information. I read it based on a recommendation, and I didn't read the description before diving in. I'm having a hard time writing a review that doesn't contain spoilers.

Can I just say I liked it a lot?

Dark sense of humor? Check.
Violence? Check.
Warfare? Check.
Horny protagonist? Double check!

When's the next one?!

One sentence review:
The real friends are the birds we met along the way.

I want to start writing book reviews in one sentence, as concisely as possible, to emphasize my primary impression of the book... So here it is:

So much more sex than I was expecting.

Do you want to cry? Because the first and last stories will make you cry.

Did this book really happen, or was it a COVID fever dream I had once?

Having never actually read a romance novel, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a quick, easy read with some solid romancing going on. 3 stars just because I don't think romance is really for me, but I'm glad I read this.
