I hated the first book (Like what writer uses a font name for a location). But this second book redeemed it.

I liked it. The only thing that felt odd was the fight with Cassius laster wel 2 sentences, and something with his hearth and the poison was implied but don't understand what that added. I like how the book subverted the trope with the hidden sibling. And that she actually helped in the end. Oh and Cassius gives Kelsier vibes.
