I started reading it because I wanted the ability to say, when I saw the movie, that the book is better. I had it on my TBR for a year. I am glad I read it, but I should have sooner! The book was amazing! My favorite sci-fi book I've read so far!
The only thing I wrote down is not really a negative, but was that I found the children at the beginning of the book to act a bit too young for their age. But that might be the difference between the US and NL. Speaking of Dutch (this is going to be about the movie), Eva Stratt being portrayed by a German actress is disappointing. I liked her in the book. But in the movie trailer, there is more of a German accent than a Dutch one. So, not a win for Dutch representation.
