i felt that the pacing was slow but I wasn't bored at all, it's such a powerful story

marcos became insane because of the inhumanity of the world (it can be applied in our world, obviously it's the whole point of this book)

be aware of what the book is about, take it seriously
then read it
the depiction of the trauma that it is, is amazing

I LOVED it

it was so sweet !!

the first half was difficult for me to get through, some of the chapter triggered me so much (even if I knew what the book was about, I chose to read it so... my bad)
the second half was interesting, I was just trying to understand the behaviors of Felix but didn't succeed lol
and then... the final chapter was kinda silly, I mean it was very simple and easy (but maybe we should see the life like Eileen did, idk)

also the way that is written the ptsd that Josie had and her reactions towards men, made her look like an extremist feminist who want to “kill all men”

the ambiance is so whimsical, some characters untrustworthy and morally-grey,the mfc so badass
(kinda caraval vibe)

this is a really, really good book
but I didn't think, at any point in the book, that it was ‘funny' or ‘hilarious'
it reflects our society, how it expects us to behave in a certain way
but also how our jobs can erase our humanity, to become robots

there's so much topics mentioned (domestic violence, end of friendships, cyber bully***, fear of academic failure...)
it's a YA novel but doesn't feel like it is,

im conflicted,

the first half of the book was really difficult to get through, I didn't understand anything that happened THEN the romance take another turn as well as the pace of the story

the second half was good ?¿
i really don't know, on one hand the representation of sa survivors is well developed, the writing style and the gothic atmosphere was really good
and on the other hand the transition between enemies to lovers (if we can say enemies) happened when the fmc told the mmc her trauma, the spicy scene was sooo stereotypical, the mmc said that he would be kind, that she was beautiful etc... but he done nothing but p3netrate her (so classic behavior of men)
