okay this was super cute

the lovely illustrations saved this tbh

maybe I just didn't get it but I could not vibe with a book that had 1) a teen r*ped by his mum's boyfriend who 2) is then forced into sex work where 3) he bangs his dad??? and 4) is just a bit racist to boot

so maybe if i was a teen in 2018 when this came out it might have hit more but unfortunately this was pretty basic reading it now

this was....fine, but holy moly some parts of it really have not aged well

anthologies always tend to be mixed but I genuinely only liked 2/3 out of the 17 stories in this

probably a 3-star read in reality but it's the best adult f/f football romance I've read so 4 stars it is

tfw the author vaguely references events and calls it worldbuilding
