I expected to love this book, and feel bad I didn’t. With only very general knowledge about the story, I found it difficult to get into it. I felt disoriented in the world we were being thrown in, and the story only started picking up for me when background information on how the regime was built was shared. I really enjoyed the last third and would have liked to read more.
