I cared more about the ghosts than about Hope and Ryder. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Absolutely devastated. Ran and reread the last chapter of Beneath the Sugar Sky to feel better.

Pure schmaltz (complimentary).

It's not bad at all, i just really didn't connect with it at all - and there are too many characters?

Way too long and weirdly structured.

I HATE the accidental pregnancy trope, but i would also die for Winnie Baker so it evened out.

The FMC is insufferable, but that's a plot point and if you can get past that and the fact that Melissa de la Cruz doesn't know anything about Ohio, it's not bad.

Beautifully written, but not quite what I was hoping it would be.

Super fun!

This was very silly and I had fun!

Bitch I cried in the car dealership waiting room.

Super cute! But moved much too fast - could have used a longer book.

Bloated, way too long, too many characters and c/d plots, and the climax was way too quick for a nearly 1000-page book.

First DNF in ages. I guess the splatter punk genre isn't for me lol. It wasn't even the contents I didn't like, I just thought it was really poorly written. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It wasn't bad but I do feel like it would have worked better as a short story, at about 30% it drags and drags until the final like 20%.

Started promising but went downhill swiftly about half way through, and the ending was, frankly, stupid. Also, the titular Horror Movie within sounds awful.

Lucille Bluth voice Good for her.

Cute couple with a cute dynamic but the story was not good, the conflict didn't kick in until very late in the story and therefore wrapped up super quickly and was not very satisfying.

The real horror is the Jim Crow South.

Cozy and lovely!

It's described as being a “camp” gothic romance by the author of The Love Witch - I loved that film! - but it's mostly just incoherent.

It's no “Ode to Spot”.
