This is the second book by Conn Iggulden that I read, and the second installment in the “War of the Roses” series. I liked what I've read so far, and really enjoy the way the author portrays Margaret of Anjou, the real main role in the series. Now, it is inevitable for me to compare Iggulden's historical fiction style with that of Bernard Cornwell, and even Ken Follet. In that sense, I believe Iggulden's storytelling has a slower, less dynamic pace, than the other authors's. I often miss more action, but yet the books in this series have been ok to follow.

What a great trilogy that was! Perfectly ended, by the way. I believe this is certainly one of King's masterpieces.

Nice trilogy when taking into account the love story between Tengo and Aomame: a love born in their childhood days which resisted time and different worlds.
Even though I liked the wrap up, I felt the books unnecessarily long and composed at times by long boring narrative which made me feel like dropping the book, dragging myself towards the end. No wonder I abandoned this book almost 4 years ago and just picked it again because I challenged myself to finish my TBR list.
As a result, I don't feel like reading other books by the author.
