Honestly, the whole friends with benefits and her denying her feelings like a child denying the fact that their father left, frustrated me beyond belief.
Might be the meds, who knows.
Was so fucking excited for this release but was a little disappointed. It just wasn't fully what I was expecting.
Gonna say though, fucking LOOOVED max and Sophie's chemistry. Exquisite shit
Yup. Cowboy romances are peak for me. What the fuck
I genuinely have no complaints whatsoever. Perfection is my opinion at this point.
I felt so much for the fucking characters that these mfs got me tearing up at the end because GODDDDD ITWAS BEAUTIFUL. Just everything about this for me was top fucking TIERRRR.
4.75 ⭐️
Slow in the beginning but god the fucking last 100 pages ish had me nailed by the head to the page.
I ended up staying up till 4am finishing this because I couldn't put it down at all.
Effy and Preston (as a romance enjoyer at heart) made me genuinely SOB. The crying I did when they made me think they'd drown together GAWD then the fucking relief I felt knowing they got their work out and survived and were able to live happily together after aswell.
Fucking beautiful writing honestly, too. Ava Reid could describe the appearance of a lamp post to me and I'd eat that shit up alone.
The reveal of the true author too GODDDDD. Again, made me feel so many emotions when it all strung together.
3.75 ⭐️
This was unlike anything I've ever read, 100%, in the best way possible.
Always enjoyed witched related media since I was a kid and this just fulfilled that for me in adulthood. Never in my life did I think I needed to read about prince's of hell but I'm so glad I did.
Huge fuckin thank you to my friend for recommending this series to me, already got the other two books out from the library
perhaps like 3.75 if i wanna get specific with this
OKAY so Brady's tasks are fucking WILD especially Declan's (I think it's Declan's right, I forgot) but I love that rowan's is bringing back his creativity after it was demolished by his father (asshole).
But Rowan was, as a character, pretty mediocre in my mind but the shit he did and how thoughtful he was kinda UHHH yeah made me actually enjoy his character way more than I feel like I should've. But like king, I don't care if ur rich asf but like u should SURELY not be acting like ur living on another planet compared to the average person. SURELY RIGHT??? or do I have way too high of hope for rich people. anyway
ZAHRA ZAHRA ZAHRA oh my god
you fucking angel of a being I legit could kiss you MYSELF
shes gotta be the most sunshine-y fmc that I have ever witnessed and I am unironically here for it. ALSO her story made me feel like I was reading about myself for like a weird second. Her as a whole I feel like makes me wanna scream into a valley on how cute she is. I get how Rowan could fall for her bc lowkey I might've aswell bc holy shit. We love a hard working, knows her worth and a loving ass gurl bro. Slay.
Not gonna lie the book dragged a bit during some parts, the angsty part when they were not doing the happy happy nice relationship parts made me kind of bored. This could've just been that I was eating their interactions the fuck up, but who knows. This all makes me think that the book could've had parts cut out, making it shorter because it felt like some parts were random and unneeded but I still enjoyed them despite that.
I do NOT care for the Disney adult fantasy stuff within this book. But that might be just me seeing as I've never even BEEN to Disney World. My opinion could change after going for the first time so we will have to wait and see on that part.
Other than that, it was pretty cute (I say that when the smut was fire asf), enjoyable romance and, as I predicted, was a bit better than the other Lauren Asher book that I read last year (Throttled). So, I am definitely going to be attempting her other books hehe.
I want ruthless vows NOWWW!!!!
GOD...
This book, wow. I know people said it was good but this has got to be one of my favourite fantasy reads so far.
This was unlike anything I've ever seen, I might've not seen enough if that's not the case. It got me hooked INSTANTLY. Roman and Iris' relationship honestly, reminded me of a tamer, less DIE DIE DIE YOU SHOULD DIE, version of how me and my partner are. Their squabbling was so fun to read, alongside the letters . AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE WEDDING AND HOW I ALMOST CRIED. (I'm medicated this is a big deal) And the ending just ripped my heart out and ate it, leaving me wanting more so BADLY.
Forest... what the hell, dude... That's wild.
FUCKING HELL
I didn't expect to love these two the amount that I did. But, from the BEGINNING I knew this book was going to be amazing. The entirety of this book was just fucking amazing. I have no words that make sense to describe how much I LOVED this book. Holy shit...
I will say, that Luke melted my heart even more in this one, that kid is a blessing to earth.
The beginning of this book was meh for me, then cardan and jude did the deed and i was AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA then i got super excited for what would happen at the wedding but then jude gets yoinked so my hype for that was cut off abruptly asf (rude). The ending was so chaotic and exhilarating, i knew she became queen from things id heard online BUT WHAT THE FUCK. also, EXILED??????????????????????????????????????????? damn jude got so much more shit in this book, bless her heart ggs queeny
I don't think im very into how holly black writes, i can see why others would enjoy this style of writing but, me, gurl, it aint for me but, ill stay for holly black's story because DAMN.
This book made me feel like i was tracking through mud, saw concrete on the horizon but, when i got to it i find out that its just more mud, then finally i get out of the mud to find a locked door (aka queen of nothing) SO OOOO thats a 3 stars from me buddy.
GOD this might be my favourite romance that I've read this year or just in general, even.
The fucking characters are written so fucking well, and the WRITING as a whole I LOVED, I did NOT expect to enjoy a cowboy, bull rider, romance this much. The SMUT as well oh my god, I usually am 50/50 with smut but HOLY SHIT it was good. The little texting sections at the beginning of almost all chapters were such a nice, funny, interesting little touch. And OH MY GOD the ending and epilogue pulled my heartstrings straight out of my body and onto the ground. If I wasn't as medicated as I am right now I would've been SOBBING, I TELL YOU, SOBBING.
Also, as soon as I saw that the next book was about Willa, I had never wanted to pick up the second book in a series so BADLY. I LOVE HER.
All have to say is
Wow
Okay I didn't have high expectations for this book until my friend told me to read it and I finally decided to find out what it was about. In the beginning, ngl, still didn't have high hopes but, holy shit how this blew me away.
THE PLOT TWIST, THE CHARACTERS, THE DETAIL IN THE PUZZLES BRO HOLY
This blew my expectations out of the park, into the road, down the street, on the next flight to Paris to get a massage for free.
I can tell the puzzles were a pain in the ass to write but probably fun to come up with. And I legit feel so much for all of these characters despite only having read the first book.
Miss girl, miss Jennifer Lynn Barnes... WHAT DID U PUT IN THIS BOOK AND WHERE CAN I GET SOME (dw I will read the sequel at some point...)
I DNF'd this book 48% after MONTHS of this cresting the biggest reading slump of my life. I have finally decided to put it to rest. I really enjoyed what I was reading until suddenly I just didn't care anymore which saddens me so much. This was definitely a me problem and not an ACOWAR problem so will still recommend this book either way. Sry queen
