At times, the book is undeniably hot and sensual. Centering the story around art and a gallery is a clever and stylish choice for an erotic novel. That said, I sometimes found the writing a bit too blunt and to the point—the sex scenes are detailed, but lack a certain beauty and vividness. I also felt that Mona goes along with everything and seems to enjoy whatever Malcolm does, which can come across as somewhat clichéd.
