This was probably my least favorite one yet, but that's just a character thing. I am so excited for #4.

This was a little bit of a disappointment, to be honest. But some stories were pretty decent!

This is probably my favorite Ali Hazelwood yet. She's really finding her niche in this genre now.

The audiobook production of this was really quite excellent.

This was nice, but it had way too much exposition. I think most of the problems this book had would have been resolved if we'd jumped into the society quicker.

This book was not marketed correctly, unfortunately. It reads much more like a literary fiction novel than I was expecting.

This was just not for me and that's okay

This was a really good read. I personally didn't find it terribly funny (and I did wince a few times at a few bits of very dark humor), but I did find it poignant. It's the type of book that made me sit and reflect for a few minutes after I finished it, and that's a powerful thing.

The last 100 pages really redeemed this book for me.

I didn't realize how little I know about bears until I found this. Incredibly engaging, informative, and thought-provoking.

Me and these books have a toxic relationship, so I am going to take a break and reconsider my life choices before picking up the next one if I ever do.

Listen, there's only so far addictive writing can take you. This book has no plot for 95% of it, and while I might be a sucker for the characters and “love” story (lol), I just don't think you get a free pass for writing about nothing for 40 chapters.

Onwards to book 3!

I'm not even mad. Like, I wanted to rise above this book and not like it, but no, I am still the lowly woman I always was and I am addicted. Never mind that the plot made no sense. I have already started book 2.

This one was an improvement from the one before it.

I enjoyed reading this book, but I still don't understand this book. The main character was incredibly compelling, however, so while I don't think the plot made much sense (and I still have many, many questions, and not the good kind), the character salvaged at least some of this book for me.

This was good and I did enjoy it, but I am starting to feel like some of Henry's characters are getting recycled from past characters.

This book was just fine.

I simply wasn't a fan of the main character in this one.

I really, really enjoyed this and certainly recommend it.

I'll be looking into David Grann more in the future for sure.

I'll be honest, I thought this book was very confusing. I really wanted to enjoy it and it just wasn't the book for me.

I liked this! It just had a bit of insta-love, which isn't my favorite.

This was a book club read and I enjoyed it! I've never really tried out this genre before, and I have to say, I liked it much more than I thought I would. I might have to try more books similar to this.
