I found myself drawn further and further into this absorbing true story the more I read. Grann is so meticulous and thorough in his research, yet still has a style of writing that is engaging and reads like a good novel.
I was particularly shocked to learn how inhospitable the Amazon is, and by Grann's final discovery at the end of the book. I would recommend this book.
This is a fantastic book, cleverly written, a real page turner. I am a 12 year old boy and I have read it at least 5 times.
