See all"Verity" by Colleen Hoover is a psychological thriller that drew me in with its mysterious plot. The characters are well-developed, and I found myself fully engaged in the story. However, I felt that the book had too much explicit content, which felt like filler and dragged the narrative. Additionally, the shift in perspective to another character's POV detracted from the main storyline.
The writing style was engaging, and the plot twist was well-executed. While the book had a significant impact, I felt a sense of regret about the series of events that unfolded. Overall, I'd recommend "Verity" to fans of thriller novels. I'd give it 3.9 stars, deducting points for the excessive explicit content that felt unnecessary to the plot. Despite this, the book was well-written, and the mystery kept me invested.
