2am is as good a time as any to finish reading some gory sexy pulp from one of your favorite creators in comics, who just so happens to be at a local con in about seven hours — jeesh, I need some more sleep.

Nice explorations of the character and past of Batman in three short stories, but ultimately the connection to The Long Halloween series seems tenuous at best and a blatant marketing ploy at worst.

Zo verdomde prachtig. Ik herlees consequent clusters zinnen onmiddellijk voor ik verder durf te gaan. Dit is een gevoel dat ik ooit hoop te bereiken met mijn schrijven.

Ik heb een teringzooi gejankt gisteren en het einde is niet veel geruststellender. De humor zie ik niet, daar is het te vlijmscherp cynisch voor, maar misschien is dat omdat het voor mij veel en veel te dichtbij komt.

This series is just so damn strong and yet I keep forgetting just how strong until I return to it. The sheer amount of obscure characters who turn up and get their deserved spotlight is both impressive and delightful.

Atlan actually has a backstory! It wouldn't fit in with the movie, but still, it's more than I got there.
So, should I continue past Johns' run? He does set up more good stuff but he didn't do it himself, what's the word on the next run?

I figured I should start here, with this tiny paperback that's been at my bedside for years; both since it's a thin one and it's a pretty dry bit of prose, so whatever I read next will feel like a breeze.
