I'm giving this novel 4 stars for its surprising and enjoyable plot.

It doesn't take too long to realize that this novel is written in the spirit of Christie's “And Then There Were None”. Stranded at their nana's house, the Darker's die while their secrets are discovered. There are so many twists and turns that even if you think you saw some coming, there will be others to surprise you.

This is a nice read for mystery lovers that I highly recommend.

I'll give this book three stars.

The plot wasn't bad, but it develops in predictable ways. At the end, everything that you assume will happen does happen. Overall is not a bad novel, but if you're an avid mystery reader, you'll see all the twists and turns coming, and it will feel a little disappointing.

If you have something else to read, you can probably skip this one.

Este libro es para el verdadero fan del Real Madrid. Yo me considero uno, pero desafortunadamente, este libro esta muy mal organizado. Los saltos en el tiemp y la repeticion de anecdotas lo hace aburrido incluso cuando el topico es de los mas interesantes que puedas encontrar, no solo en el futbol, pero en cualquier deporte a nivel mundial.

Si eres fan del Real Madrid, lo debes leer, pero te va a costar un poco.

I don't usually read espionage books, but this one had good reviews and I believe it was the only one from Amazon First Reads that had a high rating. I picked it up, and it didn't disappoint.

The story jumps across generations showing how friends become enemies, and a race to stop a massive terrorist attack that has, somehow, relevance in today's world panorama.

If you're into spy novels, you should read this book.

The story is quite original in my opinion once you get a grasp of it. Most of the book follows the main character Aurora Steller, who's at a turning point in her life, with a few chapters here and there relating a side story that little by little starts revealing details important to the main plot.

I like the way the author chose to tell the story, and I like the main character Aurora Steller. It's hard to find good plots with female characters because most of them portrait the woman as whining and helpless. None of that on this one, which is a great relief.

There are a couple of things that I don't think work well in the book. First, there are way too many characters that end up being irrelevant to the story, no matter how much she tries. This makes the beginning of the book really slow because all these characters need to be introduced one way or another.

The second thing is the ending. You will not see the ending coming. I guarantee you that. Unfortunately, right at the end I thought of something for the ending that it didn't happen, and I was disappointed because I think my idea would have made the ending much better.

Overall, it is an original, unique story that you should read if you are into mystery novels.
