Complicated thoughts on this one.

Covered some important topics but never went in depth on many of them. Heavy on facts, not as much commentary, which made this a rather boring reading experience for me. More religious themes than anticipated.

Light shades of AC-12 and The Caddy, this was okay but not great. I would give the next book a go if it shows up on KU.

Absolutely tf not. The MMC love bombs the FMC instantly and then continues to essentially smother her until she loves him back. I don't think I've ever been so creeped out by someone who is meant to be the main love interest.

One of the very best books I have ever read - stunningly gorgeous prose, a tight plot and impeccable characterization. Wow, wow, wow. Read this book!!

More vibes than plot here but what a perfect book to read in the thick of autumn. First half is pretty slow but once things pick up it's quite a moody little mystery. A+ magical realism, makes me want to go watch Veronica Mars again (iykyk).

Not as good as book one but still a quick and twisty read with more depth to it than most. I can't wait to read the next one.
