I was so disappointed reading this after the great 3rd book. It was just ... messy and boring at the same time. Maybe I'll try the 5th book sometime. Maybe not. It has no priority right now at least.

Despite the many fancy words, I liked Nabokov's writing. It's pretty interesting how he manages to make Humbert seem so civilised, considering, well, the story of this book.

2021 seems like the year of abandoned books for me. This one has made me feel too much like I waste my time while reading.

It was just too slow and, even though I got through the slow beginning of The Dresden Files, I don't feel like repeating that so soon after. I might continue sometime in the future though.

Everything I read was alright. I expect a book of that size to have a lot of build-up, so I'm not complaining about it being too slow. And I liked the characters and the premises and the world building. But—call me narrow-minded all you want—I had a hard time taking anything Sanderson's written seriously after I found out he's a Mormon.
