such a wonderful book. so gripping and emotional, at one point it resonated so strongly i had to take an extended break and go to whataburger to get some food and even then i was thinking about her story. just horrible terrible inescapable events that happened but the way she looks back at it is so pragmatic yet charitable and it hits so hard bc it's her family and those are such complex feelings to have towards them. terrifying at times too i literally cant even crack a joke bc this shit is real life horror. i loved when she spoke about her relationship to tyler tho it made me cry so hard. and the way her professors believed in her and helped her achieve the success and reach the potential they saw in her... wow. just tears everywhere. amazing book
