this was a 5 star until the bullshit end.

book was bad (why the petty drama? I want to read about women lifting each other up, not playing games to tear each other down?!) but the main characters had excellent chemistry so it gets three stars.

lots of valuable tools & lessons. I wish it would have given more options for relationships where it's no longer safe for adult children to have relationships with their unsafe parents. still a valuable healing tool.

dnf halfway through

a void?! really?! an intensely powerful perfect match is cool, being able to help clear the shadows is cool, but her entire purpose is to support him and I hate it. the complete ignoring of her words by both mmc's made me scream and hit pillows. I hated this series.

what even is consent? you won't learn from this book. two stars only to give the benefit of the doubt because I read this mid menty B. hated how weak the fmc was written to be & stay. give me strong female characters or give me nothing.

I'm convinced that in the dictionary's definition of “kink”, this book is linked as a reference.

I cried so hard I threw up and got a migraine (or possibly got food poisoning at the same time, but highly unlikely)

damn you, SJM. respectfully and adoringly.. but damn you.

I was very resistant to this one, and to letting this series end at all (not me thinking about not reading KoA just to feel some semblance of control). but this was incredible. it healed my heart and gave my soul a little forehead kiss.

this book put the “d” in drama

miscommunication station

dnf at 64% “my cum against your womb” was the last straw for me

there were so many unrealistic moments and plot holes in this book and I still absolutely loved it - rook is probably why.

witchy, knotty, perfect lil romance for spooky szn.

holy shit this was GOOD. I literally yelled “NO WHAT THE FUCK?!” on the last page so that's cool. off to read book two.

dark, deep, dirty

this book shredded my soul up a little bit. I don't know what it was about the writing style, but I feel like every time I opened the book I slipped right into that reality. I think I only put it down about four times, but wouldn't have even breathed if I didn't live with and take care of other humans.

my heart still feels broken and tender, while also mended and full. this book was excellent, lived up to the hype in my opinion.

what the fuck did I just read? also - where can I find more?

I'll take “deranged” for $1000 please.

this book feels like the challenges of my soul got dramatized and split into two beautiful characters who then fall in love. like a warm hug & a cute lil slap in the face all at the same time.

if you look up stockholm syndrome in the dictionary, it will give this book as a point of reference.

see also: toxic, spicy af

the definition of “stop being so mean to me or you'll make me fall in love with you” but if new girl had p0rno vibes. big fan.

toxic af, steamy tho

kinky, love filled lil thriller.

this book is why I consider authors artists too. a true piece of art unfolded through the accumulation of letters of pages.

was she even capable of love? or was she once and now it's all just a game? are any of us capable of love or is it all of us just taming our insecurities in other humans?

I really do believe in love, AND I'm wondering how often these superficial projections are called love. how often we search for missing pieces in others instead of mending them within ourselves.

beautifully written.
