Silas deserves a metal for being so supportive.

I love this family. I love how they love. It wasn’t the story I’d expected for the sequel. Once again there were themes of grief, but this time they were mourning someone outside the family, mostly.

I loved these characters, even the pets! The prose, especially the descriptions of grief, were so well written. It was funny too. So realistic. Really well written dialogue. Looking forward to reading book #2, Wreck!

It is a realistic portrayal of how one could feel and behave after a breakup at that age, though the drinking seemed a little bit on the extreme side throughout the book. I could see one night of drinking heavily, but it seemed like these characters drank a bit much often, like they were still in their twenties.

Heartbreaking, heartwarming, and inspiring.

Might be my all time favorite book so far. It was gut wrenching.

Depressing characters and setting.

If I had a brother I’d want one like Danny. I really enjoyed this story. It moved at a nice pace, had excellent character development, and moved me.

Very funny at times. It lost me at times. But, overall, a fun character ride.

I didn’t enjoy listening to it. I think I’d prefer to read it. It just wasn’t my cup of tea. I don’t mind a stream of consciousness type of approach (I love Sigrid Nunez for instance), but this one just didn’t do it for me. I wanted to like it so badly. Here’s to hoping I’ll like it better reading silently vs listening to it. I’ll have to grab it from the library sometime.

I loved these characters so much. What a beautiful love story.

Can’t wait to watch the Netflix movie!

I can’t wait to put this into practice!

This was so deeply disturbing, yet hopeful and impressive at the end.

Disturbing and sad, yet heartwarming.

This book lacked the emotional intimacy I was craving—mostly from Marianne, but really from both of them.

A beautiful literary fiction novel with lovely characters. The ending!?!

Very relatable and inspiring!

This was an intellectual, magical, and romantic whirlwind of a book. It was well written.

A well written book on startups and innovation.

I loved Atlas and Lily’s love! What a beautiful love story, despite the setbacks and challenges they had to overcome. I loved Marshall’s kindness. I loved Alyssa’s loyalty to Lily. All in all a well written series.

This was a sad and depressing novel. I wanted to stop reading it a bunch of times, but kept on reading for some reason. Probably because this got high ratings and she’s got several top selling books out now. I did like the ending. I may read one or two of her other books, but not until next year. The little girl, Izzy in the book was so darn cute. And, I was rooting for a happy ending for the protagonist, Annie.

It wasn’t nearly as good as Fourth Wing. I liked the characters, but couldn’t get into the world building. I didn’t love Kingfisher. I liked Saeris, Carrion, and loved Renfis. Not sure if I’ll read the next one. It depends on how long it is.

I found it overall just a blah story. I especially didn’t get or engage with Duke. I didn’t get her desire for him. Her descriptions of him weren’t particularly sexy or juicy. He seemed to treat her more like an object or he was neglectful and selfish. He was a bad influence on her. Not sure what she liked about him. He wasn’t likable. She described the scenery beautifully. The family characters were boring or whiny. Joe had absolutely no personality. I’d skip it if you’re considering reading this. It’s overhyped, probably because she has other books that are great, and because Meryl Streep is narrating the audio version.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, both professionally and personally. I was a tea drinker. Now I'm a more enlightened tea drinker. It makes me want to sit dow with a cup of Rooibos tea and write a business plan for my favorite business idea!
