Silas deserves a metal for being so supportive.

I love this family. I love how they love. It wasn’t the story I’d expected for the sequel. Once again there were themes of grief, but this time they were mourning someone outside the family, mostly.

I loved these characters, even the pets! The prose, especially the descriptions of grief, were so well written. It was funny too. So realistic. Really well written dialogue. Looking forward to reading book #2, Wreck!

It is a realistic portrayal of how one could feel and behave after a breakup at that age, though the drinking seemed a little bit on the extreme side throughout the book. I could see one night of drinking heavily, but it seemed like these characters drank a bit much often, like they were still in their twenties.

Learning that female friendships are crucial to a woman's life.
