This was important, horrific, disturbing, sad, and enraging. We all should be aware of what our country is doing. Even if you think you know how bad ICE is, you'll learn worse things about it in this book. Her language is at times a little overwrought, but whose wouldn't be dealing with these subjects.

I think I have a new favorite author. Because Margo is my new favorite character (with Bhodi and Jinx as close seconds). What an amazingly lovely book this was!

The characters were funny and admirable but didn't ring true to me. Lots of long descriptions of climbing.

I'm not sure how much I enjoyed this book, but I found it engrossing, was entertained by the characters, and found the ending very moving. It's excellently written.

I enjoyed the suspense, the hiking background, and the characters in this story.
