This was heartbreaking and so important. I'm thrilled it won the Pulitzer because hopefully it'll reach a wide audience. This should be on the "required reading for billionaires" booklist.

This is probably a three and a half. There was some good information in here but also a lot of plugging for things the author sells.

I love Rainbow Rowell. This didn't hold a candle to Fangirl (or even Attachments) but it was still a fun read.

All I can really say about this audiobook is that it was playing while my ears were nearby...

I really enjoyed this book. It was one of those where you figure out things before the main character does, but it wasn't annoying in that way as some books are. The images of the halls and the statues were so amazing in my mind--the pictures in the book honestly almost ruined that for me. A sweet and lovely book.

I really liked the beginning of this, but once every chapter was a different Bob, and also 10-15 years in the future from the last chapter, I lost any sort of emotional connection to the character or story.

I'm not sure what to make of this book. I love epistolary books, and appreciated that format, though occasionally things felt a little forced. I think I wanted more from the characters than what was in the letters? It was a hard, sad book, with no final neat ending (even though there were some neat endings).

Even though I wasn't crazy about any of the characters, I really loved this book. It was so engrossing, and everyone felt so real. I loved the slow, slow convergence and the little bits of foreshadowing that felt like the story folding back over itself. The 640 pages went by so quickly.

The was a lot of depressing foreboding without much happening. Read about half and gave up.

This was super interesting, and the narrator for the audiobook was excellent.

I really wanted this to be fiercer--it just felt like it had a good message, but needed more spice, more umph.

I think I have a new favorite author. Because Margo is my new favorite character (with Bhodi and Jinx as close seconds). What an amazingly lovely book this was!

This start d out so strong. Some of th sentences just made me laugh with delight. But I felt like it lost focus a bit as it switched to lots of different characters' perspectives. I did love the political aspect of the book. The end was fairly predictable.

This was a fascinating look inside China in many different eras. It reads fast, and yet you're learning tons of new (at least for me!) information as you go. I enjoyed the balance of history and a personal story.

This was lovely. It was a little rough getting in to it in the beginning since I didn't really remember the previous two all that well, but the audiobook was 23 hours long so at some point I felt well caught up! The narration was great, the story was engrossing, and the ending was quite satisfying.

This book was disturbing and strange and well-written. I kept wondering how she could possibly end it in a way that felt authentic, and I guess she did? Maybe?

Eh. This was described as a super fun thriller throw-back to the 80s. Maybe if you're a dude it would have been? The story was okay, though the giant plot holes sort of detracted from the ending.

If you know about this book, you already know how great it's going to be. There wasn't much new in here, but it's good to have it all collected in one place so you can hand it to your female friends who don't yet know!

What an interesting book. I tried not to be bothered by the inconsistencies and just to enjoy the story and the mystery. Though I have many questions!

Wow. You might think from the summary that this is a book about an alien. It's not. It's a book about what it means to be a human. So moving and beautiful.

This was a pretty fun romance. I liked that the delay in the couple getting together wasn't about misunderstandings or the people thinking the other person didn't like them. The secondary characters were a lot of fun.

I really enjoy this series and the mix of wildlife research and mystery/ suspense. This book seemed a little thin, with a lot of the text being used to catch the reader up on past events and to catch other characters in the book up on current events. But I'll still keep reading!
