I found some parts to be quite dull, probably because Poirot wasn't around much. I liked the resolution, though.

3.75, actually.

- I liked this one MUCH MORE than the previous one but I still had issues with it. The whole Oddeta/Detta section was really too much and, unfortunately, it took up quite a chunk of this book. Thus, my rating.

- Roland was a bit better, I think? The jury is still out on him tbh.

- The references to The Shinning film...King, you cheecky bastard.

- I have a lot of questions still (I'm not sure what Mort dying means to the timeline...I shall investigate because I'm too dumb for timetravel and paradox stories) and I'm very interested in finding out what's next in the journey to the Tower.

The story was ok, I enjoyed some of the twists, but the constant cheating and messy relationships got old at some point.

- Definitely not for me. I didn't enjoy the writing style, some foreshadowing is cool but all this back and forth wasn't it.

- I didn't really care for the characters either. I didn't love them and I didn't hate them, they were there.

- The premise was cool but it fell apart for me quite quickly. The story dragged so much and all the changes/references to future events made it all quite confusing.

OMG I LOVED THIS SO MUCH!!!

- I read this as part of my journey to the Dark Tower and, I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much. Even though I'm enjoying the Dark Tower series more as I read on, it still hasn't captivate me much. This book, though, gripped me from page one.

- Loved literally ALL the characters, from the supporting characters like Ben and Dennis (and their families!) to the main heroes and villains. Peter was my favourite (he could do no wrong but my favourite moment was the Peony episode) and of course, Frisky. Having a chapter from her POV was a wonderful and heart-warming touch. I also love hating Flagg.

- SCREAMING AT "it was a monster chasing them, some horrible It" are you saying what I think you're saying????

- I listened to some parts of it (sometimes I had to read while listening because there was so much going on) and I thought Bronson Pinchot SUCH A WONDERFUL JOB. He was able to have different characters sound completely distinct and his Flagg was terrifying.

- King wrote this for his then young daughter because she didn't like horror stories and wanted to read about dragons, which makes me love this book even more.
