Gritty and very memorable. I love Dorothy's style of writing. She isn't afraid to write about what we are all afraid to talk about.

Cute and funny. Would read more of Beth's books.

I loved this book. It's definitely not a “light” read. Dorothy really captures the feelings and thoughts of her characters.

Fast read, rich with details.

View

One of my all time favorite books. I have read it many times.

I bawled hysterically when I finished this book.

Sloooow beginning. Great ending.

Where's the “I hated it” star?

View

Cute in a realistic tragic way.

This is one of the books that got me back into reading again. I loved the way that as Frank grew, the writing grew as well. When he was 5, it was written as a 5 yr old would write. Very well done.

Funny, quick read.

This was actually not my favorite Fannie Flag book. It was a quick read and held my attention though. Much better than the movie.

View

Disappointing read.

Loved, loved, loved this book.

View

Ok read. Glad to have read it and also to be done with it.

I was disappointed. I thought that the plot was excellent, but in the end, I felt that it was overly sappy and didn't understand why this was on the bestseller list for the length of time it was.

View

Interesting theories, quick read.

I read this when I was 14. What an amazing book. This should be in every school curriculum.

Another story that I was really anxious to read. Left me disappointed. Glad it was a quick read, as I didn't even like the main character. Perhaps that was the point?

View

One of my all time fav's.

View

This second book of the series was just as good as the first.

View

Boring and not interesting.

Every teen should read this book. I read this in 8th grade and vowed I would never touch drugs because of it.

View

Not my favorite Amy Tan book. What a disappointment.
