Wow, another great start to a series from this author. I will always put this author's new works on my ‘save for the weekend' list. And at least the first one will go on my no audiobooks list, I know If I like a series enough I will again listen to it with the right narrators. This is the right combination of almost every genre, plot, mystery, chemistry, and action to keep you entertained the whole way.
I won't even bother explaining further, just read this book and find out, if you need something to hook you in think blade runner with more super powers.
I've tried to read this thing like three times as people are suggesting that it's relevant to my intrests....I just can't do it, I managed to get to 30% in the audio-book, and deleted it. VR just doesn't work for me, like it's a literal non starter, people say they don't see the appeal of let's plays on youtube, this is that for the book genre. What especially doesn't work is trying to sell me a relationship with an NPC, you can't romance lines of code, while I didn't get to the point of see anything happen, seems obvious what direction it's going. Won't give a one star as I know some of this is my own issues.
IDK, I'll give it a 3.5. You need to treat the first three quarters of this as a prologue, it doesn't feel like the story starts until the end. The MC is annoying too, their mortality seems to be all over the place and contradictory at times. A lot of his issues would go away if he was more willing to kill people that try to kill him.
