IDK, I'll give it a 3.5. You need to treat the first three quarters of this as a prologue, it doesn't feel like the story starts until the end. The MC is annoying too, their mortality seems to be all over the place and contradictory at times. A lot of his issues would go away if he was more willing to kill people that try to kill him.

I was sold, lol pun intended, on the first half, then it started to go downhill. There are some aspects of this I can see just being non starters for people, such as the mc being a pacifist, or that they have to share a body. If I didn't know this author I probably wouldn't have finish it.

I'm not sure I'm feeling the series anymore, the constant filler feeling scenes, the drawn out dialog, the contrived plot, THE CLIFFHANGERS. I'm not sure how invested I am at this point. I'm not at the point I'm skipping chapters at least, so it's enough that I don't feel like it wasted my time.

Great we are stuck in hell for how long? Ends on another stupid cliffhanger...I want to like this but it's making it hard at this point.

It's fun, but the pacing is feeling like it's being dragged out, the tangent we are on now seems a bit random...Need more Jalen

Pacing is a bit off, but the highest point is all the side characters, there are times where I wish the mc would shut up and the side characters talked more...

It's got issues, the story is fine, but the mc and a lot of the characters act like idiots to make everything work, like omg the mc is such an idiot...why does it take him so long to connect the dots, it's laid out so obviously. And the girls are kinda non existent most of the time.

Overall worth the read, just frustrating that the mc takes so long to figure things out.

already not a fan of the summon/create a girlfriend setups...but the dialog and other plot is just so bad.

Eh, it's starting to lose me, the mc is constantly complaining and whinging about things...starting to get annoying. Upside is that it is starting to look like a 10 book series, unless the mc somehow kills an empire and kill a bunch of gods in 2-3 books. Less necromancy than I would have liked, I can see the author isn't trying to focus on one thing too much, so you are constantly moving around, pacing feels off as a result. We get odd slivers of story from the pov changes that don't get resolved in the same books, wish we got a lot more of Dove.

It's a good idea, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The characters are mostly bland, despite the author clearly adding quirky traits to flesh them out, doesn't land correctly. The romance is also very teenage romance, feels less like it's between two adults. The MC is also a massive moron, makes it really grating. The plot armor is insane, the mc rarely does anything to solve his own situation, things serendipitously works out for him.

It's also hard for me to believe that a society that has indoor plumbing hasn't figured out SPICES...it's literally the original currency, some spices were more valuable than gold, the value came from how they enhanced food...just bizarre

Liked this way more then I was expecting. I decided to listen to the graphic audio, and man what a different experience, I need at least two narrators for any audiobooks I listen to, there are TWELVE in the graphic audio.

Anyway story is still good, the characters are all interesting, the romance was great, not too fast not too slow. Excited to see how the farm grows.

We spend way too much time inside the mc's head dealing with his insecurities, starting to drag it down for me. Doesn't look like we will get kingdom building, unless this is a 10 book series...glad he isn't trying to purse something with the childhood friend, was worried there for awhile. He finds a women to be his sadist...yea the mc is a masochist surprise...I don't see the relationship lasting

The MC is finally finding his spine at least lol

You either like this type of adult in a child body stories, or don't. this one at least doesn't doesn't have him doing completely outlandish things in a toddler body...Though he doesn't sound like a kid at all talking to people, but neither do the ‘friends' he has, so maybe we are to assume stats age children faster? It's interesting as it has more ritual based magic that I don't think has been used before in the genre. So I will be reading a head as new magic systems always interest me.

It's okay, tropey setup with a character you've come to expect with this kind of story. You either love or hate this kinda wish fulfillment. Nothing to really set it out from the rest, the mc power set is limited to portals, instead of the standard do everything kind of magic bs this usually leans into.

Fine, still waiting for more.

It's still fine, you are probably committed by this point.

Eh, it's better, the mc comes across as more competent and less plot armor/lucky. They way he leverages his situation for his benefit is great. It's not shakespeare or anything, but it's got that easy to read bingeable quality though.

I want to give it a higher score, but can't. There isn't much of a story here, the selling feature is the characters and chemistry, you need to commit to at least the half way point before you even get some of the story to come out. But once it gets going the fmc's and mc interactions are pretty decent, even the sex scenes weren't that bad.

it was really annoying when the mc would start throwing out British English as an American inconsistently

Was really interested at first, was checked out by the end. The initial premise was interesting, litrpg, pact with a god, romance said god...but the ‘fmc' doesn't really work, she doesn't come across as a real adult, let alone some kind of loner god, feels like an npc. Which makes the relationship weird. The frustrating part is you have to sit through all the decent litrpg/story stuff that has to happen in between which makes you more frustrated by the end...

If I knew this was just going to be torture porn I wouldn't have bothered reading this series. I thought that after all the suffering the mc goes through that FINALLY he can be someone in this world and be happy, but NO the author must take everything away from the mc again and have him go underground again. Sophia in particular, I really thought the author was going somewhere with this, it felt like there was so much build up for them for the author to just throw it all out the window for some contrite drama....what a let down

I mean land of the lust is very accurate, leans heavily into the erotica side, and it's full poly. I've noticed more people say they don't like it, so I'll try to mention it more. It was explained that it comes from a sharing perspective and not a ‘no gay' perspective.

The erotica is done well for what it is, if your reading for that reason you will love this series.

We've entered a kingdom building phase by the end, so I'm curious where it goes from here, they've seem to accomplish everything by the end, short of escaping. So you can see how fast paced this is, after hanging around a bit at the start, it off the rails action/drama...I will continue for sure.

This is probably the best in the series, the mc finally doesn't have to hold himself back and the world is opening up. We are seeing the upper echelons of power now and we still have more to go? This is looking to be a longer series.

The MC can be a cry baby like he stupidly refuses to use a weapon cause he doesn't like it...but it keep me reading despite this, there is some pay off by the end, so it's probably worth finishing if you get overly annoyed at any point.

It's bingeable but the plot armor and dumb stuff the mc does...just wow, leaving people that tried to kill you alive drives me crazy normally, but the mc is supposed to be ruthless, but it seems the author applies is when needed to manufacture drama...just so lazy and obvious. It all kinda flows together the way webnovels normally do, so it's conducive to binging, you are kind of predisposed to ignore something expecting them to get fixed later when reading webnovels.

Couldn't finish it, cringe dialog and boring plot.
