I read these books like they're a bag of chips and I haven't eaten all day.
Soz crisps. Bag of crisps.

very good, i don't know why but I can't get enough of this kind of stuff. i'm not sure but it'd probably be useful to come to this “primed” with base knowledge, but he makes it accessible.

yeah shut up I needed to pad out my reading challenge

also the movie is better

3.5
Fun, if a bit flimsy at times. I think this would make a really cool video game...

4.5
I'd give it 5 but I need to see if the tips work out first ;)

Some good tips obscured within a memoir, it feels dated, kinda shallow, nothing new really. Drowning in metaphors (;)). I couldn't relate to her personality. Probably better suited for lit-fic/creative nonfic writers.

only technically “read”, but I'll be hanging out with this book for a loooong time

I will give it 4 stars because once I got started I devoured it. Honestly I “figured it out” pretty early on (though I do hate putting it in those terms) but it was still a fairly satisfying read. also, it genuinely scared me at times, can't remember the last time a book spooked me.

2.5 for interesting concept but disappointing execution. Really liked it at first but it left a lot to be desired

not really counting as “read” since I only read 3/9 volumes

2.5 - enjoyable enough but I found it cheesy and predictable

Can I give it 6 stars?

3.5

Not rating because I think I should read it again someday when I have more time.

3.5 mostly for the style which i admire

Well, I made much better time on this one than the last...

A solid 4.5. 4.75? ...4.9? Okay fine I'll let it have the 5

4.5, I noticed a bug crawling on my arm while reading the final page and squashed it without hesitation... oops
