Mooney

I've reread this at least once a year since 2009. I love this book so much. A one-hit wonder from the author and I wish I could read more. The character dynamic is nuanced and they're so devoted to each other.

I almost DNF this one, but I saw that the audiobook was narrated by Michael Ferraiouolo so I tried that. The audiobook brings humor in this book to life in a way that was surprising and incredible. I'm not making my way through book 2 because of it. 

In this case, the audiobook beat out my internal voice and I'm glad it did. 

I love the relationship between Grace and Rocky. I know the science is kind of the point, but it wasn't my cup of tea. But the glimpses of the friendship between the science was delightful. 

Superb characters and relationships. Great horror atmosphere. 10/10
